Illustrator & Cartoonist
I have been working as a freelance illustrator since 2003 collaborating with publishers, magazines and companies across a wide range of fields. My work includes comic books, children’s books, educational textbooks, calendars, websites, brochures and advertising.
Over the years I have illustrated comic books for publishers such as Kowalski, Lilliput and Grrrzetic, and children’s books for Atmosphere Edizioni and Edizioni Messaggero. My commercial illustration work includes projects for Amemì (for Librerie Mondadori), Supermercati Iper and International English Center.
I have also contributed illustrations to children’s and teen magazines such as Kiss Me!, Il Messaggero dei Ragazzi, SuperG, Illustrati and Il Giornalino, as well as newspapers and satirical publications including L’Unione Sarda, La Testata, Balloons, Eleven Magazine, La Provincia di Latina, StreetMag and Linus. I have also worked on diaries for Smemoranda.As a cartoonist I am the creator of Inkspinster, a comic strip series that has been collected in three volumes: published by Lilliput Edizioni in 2003, by Grrrzetic Edizioni in 2008, and by Comma 22 Editore in 2017 under the title INKSPINSTER – CONFESSIONI DI UNA ZITELLA (Inkspinster – Confessions of a Spinster).
I have also contributed to the collective anthologies Strrrippit! (2007) and U come umorismo (2016), alongside some of Italy’s leading comic strip artists.
Since 2018, Inkspinster has also been featured in Linus, one of Italy’s longest-running comic magazines.
I regularly create comic strips and cartoons for the monthly magazine Il Messaggero dei Ragazzi, with which I have an ongoing collaboration.
Awards and Exhibitions
• Special Mentions at the 2003 and 2004 editions of EUROHUMOR, the International Festival of Smiles.
• Special Mention at the first SaluzzoRidens competition (2004).
• Special Mention at Libri mai mai visti, a competition for artistic book prototypes (2004).
• Attilio Micheluzzi Award for Best Webcomic at Napoli Comicon (2009).
• Special Mention and participation in the Mondi alternativi exhibition at the Lucca Junior Festival (2012).
• Selection for the Lucca Junior competitions in 2015 and 2016, with participation in the exhibitions Strumenti di viaggio and Dieci come…, respectively.
• Winner of the Livio Sossi Award (2023).
My work has also been featured in several travelling exhibitions in Italy and across Europe.Recent Children’s Books titles I have illustrated:
